Chief Executive Officer, Melanie Barr and President, Mark Walter founded USEG in 2006 due to their desire, commitment, and years of experience in the Sports and Entertainment Industry.
Melanie Barr began working for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004 as a Premium Account Executive. While with the Dodgers Melanie managed Dugout Club and Corporate Suite Accounts and assisted in starting WIN the Dodgers Women’s Organization. Melanie attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and Graduated with a Degree in Marketing. She is an active member in Step Up Women’s Network a national non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls through hands on community service, mentoring, and fundraising. Melanie is currently an Ambassador for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has been an Ambassador since 2003, and she is a 2006 Graduate of Leadership Los Angeles.
Mark Walter started his career with the fire department at the age of 21. After seven years of fighting fire, he was hired by Sony Pictures Entertainment with their Fire and Life Safety Department, in two years time he was in charge of the department and shortly thereafter was approached by Raleigh Studios Manhattan beach about creating the same program for their studio. In 2000 Mark was hired by Raleigh Studios and quickly moved up the ladder. He was promoted to Facility manager and then promoted to his present position as Manager of Studio Operations. Mark manages Community Relations for the Studio and has coordinated many large special events for both the private and public sectors. Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
